Three teams competed during each block on Monday, July 7th. Each team had to work within a three-foot by three-foot square marked on the floor with masking tape.
Josh’s team of two won the contest in block 4. In Block three, all three sculptures fell down at the sound of the buzzer.
Some held pieces in place, while others fastened parts together.
Each team was given a roll of masking tape, a dowel rod, three yards of string and a small pile of cardboard.
Teamwork and communication was essential.
The object of the challenge was to build the tallest structure in ten minutes. Work had to be freestanding and had to remain intact for ten seconds.
